What is paramedical / restorative tattooing?

Paramedical and restorative tattooing is a form of specialized tattooing designed to help restore confidence and improve the appearance of healed skin after surgery, trauma, or medical treatment. These services are often sought for post-mastectomy areola restoration, scar camouflage, areola repigmentation, and other restorative concerns.

Each treatment is customized based on your skin, scar maturity, treatment goals, and comfort. We welcome clients of all genders and strive to provide care that feels respectful, supportive, and personalized.

What we treat:

PLEASE BE ADVISED: the area being treated must not less than 6-12 months old and cannot be tanned at the time of treatment. We need to ensure we can obtain the best color match to your skins natural tone.

Restorative & Decorative Tattooing

Not every client wants traditional scar camouflage. In some cases, clients may prefer decorative tattooing over or around a scar, while others may be best suited to restorative scar camouflage. In select cases, the two approaches can also be thoughtfully combined.

Treatment recommendations depend on the type of scar, scar maturity, skin condition, placement, and your personal goals. Consultation is recommended to determine the most appropriate approach.

Insurance / benefits / receipts

Some clients choose to contact their extended health benefits provider to ask whether restorative tattoo services may be eligible for reimbursement or consideration, particularly for post-mastectomy areola restoration, areola repigmentation, or other post-surgical restorative tattooing.

Detailed receipts are available upon request. Coverage is not guaranteed and varies by provider, plan, and documentation requirements.

Clients may wish to ask their insurer whether they reimburse:

How do I book a consultation?

We are gender inclusive and offer a wide range of different ink shades to match all skin tones

The wide variety of procedures we offer has helped our clients with various skin and pigment disorders that modern medical procedures cannot answer.

Does it hurt?

As the procedure is a tattoo, you can experience some sensitivity. However, if needed, we can apply two types of numbing.

Your comfort is top priority to our team.

What is the booking process?

Filling out our online inquiry form or coming in for a in person consultation is required before a procedure is booked to determine a treatment plan and the cost. Once we have determined the treatment plan, you can book your appointment online.

Is this treatment permanent?

We use top quality tattoo pigment for long lasting results. Please remember we are often working on scar tissue which may require a few sessions. We will go over this with you in depth during your consultation.

What is the process during my appointment?

Numbing cream will be applied if needed
Color match your skin tone with our top quality pigments
You will receive an aftercare kit, thorough aftercare instructions and contact support from your artist during your healing phase.
